Meet the Staff
Owner and Instructor
Trish Moulton has been educating dancers for over 20 years. As owner of Dance Studio of Maine she thrives on seeing all dancers succeed. Trish has choreographed and directed many award winning routines. Trish is certified International Dance Teaching Standards. She has coached for the Sea Dogs Dance team & Lady Red Claws. Along with having many great connection and friendships within the greater dance community. Her training still continues with classes and seminars. “I believe that the student can be the teacher”.
Co-Director and Instructor
Nikki Girroir graduated from The University of the Arts where she earned her B.F.A in Modern Dance Performance. She has performed professionally with Luminarium Dance Company, Echo Dance Company and Intimations Dance Company; and was selected as a guest choreographer with Intimations Dance.
Nikki is a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor and teaches many other genres of dance. She believes that dance is a great vehicle to bring people together and that it teaches important values in students. Nikki cannot wait to embark on her new adventures with the entire Dance Studio of Maine family!
Brittany started dancing with Diane’s School of Dance when she was 4 years old. She is currently attending Southern Maine Community College to become a Respiratory Therapist. She has taken classes in ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and pointe. She began assisting classes at the age of 13, this is when she realized she had a passion for teaching. She loves seeing kids step out side their comfort zones and find their love for dance. After assisting classes for 7 years she started teaching her own classes. She has attended dance workshops and conventions, and has been teaching and choreographing for several years. She is really excited to continue sharing her love for dance, and to be a part of Dance Studio of Maine South.
Nicole Labbe began dancing at the Dance Studio of Maine where she trained for 15 years. Nicole has since continued her training at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she received a BA in Dance. During her time at UNC Greensboro Nicole trained in Cunningham technique with Justin Tornow, Safety Release technique with BJ Sullivan, she studied abroad for one semester at the University of Malta and, most recently, traveled to New York with Duane Cyrus and The Collective to perform Bill T. Jones and Arnie Zane’s Freedom of Information.
Erin has been dancing since the age of 5. Recently, Erin danced in college and is now the choreographer for the Maine Attraction Waterski Show Team. Her specialties are tap and hip hop. She loves to see her students come into the studio and leave all their troubles at the door. Knowing dance is an outlet for the students is so rewarding. Erin is very excited to be joining the staff at Dance Studio of Maine and to continue sharing her love of dance with her students.
